Some acting careers start in the strangest places – so did Danielle Campbell, who was discovered in a hairdressing salon in Chicago. The American was born on January 30, 1995, and since her parents do real estate finance, she has been living in Singapore since early childhood.

When Danielle was ten, the family moved back to the US. Shortly after her return, Danielle went with her mother to the barber and was approached by an agent who wanted to win her for an advertising agency. A week later, she had her first job in a commercial that aired nationwide – and even before the agency could create a photo folder of her.

Her first big appearance on the big screen followed in 2011 in the movie “Prom – The Night of Your Life”, in which, among others, Aimee Teegarden played along.

After a guest appearance in “Drop Dead Diva” she received her first series role role in 2013, when she was cast for the role of Davina Claire in “The Originals”.
